Lets Get Started

If you would like to give Bitcoin payments a try then we need to get you a wallet! There are several different wallet options available each with pros & cons, if you'd like to learn more about wallets then please keep an eye out for our onboarding workshops.

Remember Satoshi's Place isn't saying invest all your money into Bitcoin or buy huge amounts of it! As part of our onbaording process (Bringing visitors into the Bitcoin space) visitors can buy up to £5 of Bitcoin from us to get them started. This is for educational purposes and can be used at our Lightning Bar & with our Lightning Games to showcase the power of the Bitcoin network when making real-world transactions.

Also, remember if you don't want to use Bitcoin to pay for drinks don't worry! We do still accept Cash or Card, no pressure to use Bitcoin but if you're new to this Bitcoin thing and you'd like to give it a go, then lets get you started with a wallet!

Below you'll see the QR codes which link to each of the wallets app marketplaces, Both Apple Store & Google Play apps are available.

Q&As

Why do you keep stating "Satoshis" / "Sats": Well a Satoshi is the smallest unit of the bitcoin currency, satoshis are like the coins to a bitcoin there are 100 million satoshis (sats) in one bitcoin, meaning each satoshi is worth 0.00000001 BTC! Thus if something is worth 0.001% of a bitcoin then writing it is clearer (and we think easier to follow) for a customer to see 1000 Sats rather than 0.00001000 BTC.
